Three Ways to Get a Comped Cruise

Many of you ask us about cruises. There are three ways a casino player can get a comped cruise:

1. A land-based casino certificate
2. The casino department at the cruise line

Here is how they differ.

1. Land-based casino certificates

A certificate requires play at a specific casino property to qualify, and you typically pick it up at that property. The cruise line usually lists a limited set of sailings with specific dates, and you will most likely be eligible for an inside cabin.

• Certificates may be tied to certain cruise lines, dates, or cabin categories.
• Some certificates require higher upfront fees.
• Your options for tailoring the cruise are restricted.

Some casino loyalty programs also include a cruise as a top-tier benefit, which may come with a cabin upgrade, but that depends on your tier.

2. The cruise line's casino department

Booking through the cruise line's casino department may offer more flexibility with dates, but the cruise line generally qualifies you using play from your most recent cruise with that same company. First-time cruise casino players often do not qualify this way.

3. An independent casino host

When you book through an independent host:
