Have Cruise Casino Offers Gotten Worse?
What a casino host sees across multiple cruise lines
Gene Krupnik · September 10, 2026
In our Ask the Ca$ino Host community, a member recently asked: "Gene, how do you see it? You're probably in the best position to see what's happening across multiple companies."
Honestly, yes and no.
Offers are getting more targeted
Because I see offers from multiple cruise lines, and from players with very different levels of casino play, I probably see a bigger picture than most people. What I am noticing is not necessarily that all offers are worse. They are becoming much more targeted.
- Some players are still getting fantastic offers.
- Others who used to get great offers are suddenly seeing much less.
- The same player can get a very different offer from one cruise line compared with another.
The difference often comes down to ADT, actual play, and how each cruise line evaluates its casino customers. For more on that, read Why You Get Comped on One Cruise Line but Not Another.
When the mailer looks lower than last time
Earlier this year, many Princess Cruises casino players received emails and mailers with offers that looked significantly lower than before. It is completely understandable to feel disappointed, especially when your play time and budget have stayed the same or even increased.
For our clients, we do not stop at the offer in the mailer. When booking a cruise on any line, we evaluate every available option on your behalf:
- Certificates earned onboard
- Offers currently on your account
- Your most recent ADT
- Your actual loss from your last cruise
Using all of these, we position you for the strongest offer available.
New to cruise casinos?
Before contacting the cruise line directly, reach out to our team so we can review what may be available to you. After your first booking with us, you always have the option to work directly with the cruise line in the future, but it is not always as easy to reverse the process.
What are you seeing? If your casino offers have gotten better, worse, or just different, tell us which cruise line and roughly what changed in our Ask the Ca$ino Host group on Facebook. Together we can build a really interesting picture of what is happening across the industry.
